Today we learnt more in detail about movie posters and started developing our own Movie Poster ideas. My idea for my movie poster is that my film is about a fashion designer, and is aimed at girls, and from the film poster you will be able to see this, and who the target audience is.
I have made some sketches of what I would like my movie poster to look like and thought about how the genre of the film will come across to the target audience. Within my film poster the main focus will be a Stiletto Heel, as this suggests the fashion element to my film, I will then incorporate my main character into the shape of the Stiletto Heel at the side of the heel. The colour scheme within my poster is purple’s and pinks, which again suggests this film is aimed at girls as the target audience. Also on my poster is the title, which will be in bold purple writing to stand out on the poster and catch people’s attention. The background of my movie poster is images of fashion related items, such as clothes, handbags and jewellery, this will be in the style of a scrapbook/mood board effect, to add to the idea that this film is about fashion.
An existing movie poster which helped me in developing this idea was The Devil Wears Prada, as this helped me in knowing where to place the heel and how much of the poster the heel should cover.

Overall, I am looking forward to developing these ideas further and being able to use my own images to create a brand new movie poster, and I am looking forward to using Photoshop for a different project and how Photoshop can help me in bringing my whole Movie Poster together.
